APA formatting guidelines for presentation of research paper

Guys, can someone please help me in formatting my research paper in APA format? I have written one research paper which I need to submit to a journal within a month. The editors of the journal have asked me to format its presentation as per the APA format. I have bought an APA guide for this, but it is too detailed. I can’t retrieve the particular information and format out of it because I just need broader guidelines of APA formatting as the editor has asked me not to dive much in APA formatting -just the initial pages, in-text citations, and the list of references are to be done. Please guide!
